Lesson Pricing and Policy

Tower Music private lessons are available Monday through Thursday from 3-9 and on Saturday from 10-4. Lessons are $20.00 /half hour and scheduled as a weekly appointment. There is a one-time $15 registration fee for all new students. All lessons are given at Tower Music, in one of our 12 comfortable lesson studios.

Tower Music's lesson program is for students of ALL AGES. We have been giving lessons in this area for over 40 years, and have taught students anywhere from the ages of 5 to 105! All private lessons are tailored to fit each individual student, so no matter what your age, your skill level, or your favorite style of music, we can help you successfully grow as a musician.

Lessons are offered in guitar, bass guitar, piano, keyboard, drums & percussion, violin, viola, cello, voice, mandolin, banjo, harmonica, flute, french horn, trumpet, saxophone, and clarinet.

At Tower Music we have instructors that specialize in almost any type of music. From classical to blues to rock to jazz to heavy metal to praise and worship, whatever your interests are we can pair you up with a teacher who has spent years honing and teaching the style of music you want to learn to play.

All of our teachers are experienced instructors with years of education in their particular instrument. Most of our instructors have degrees in music as well as plenty of stage experience. At Tower we pride ourselves in having what we believe to be the best teaching staff in the St. Louis area. Many of our students move on to be very successful musicians who enjoy playing their instrument for the rest of their lives.

In study after study, having an education in music has proven to help students with their study skills, self-confidence, attention span, coping with stress, and social skills. Learning an instrument at a young age can positively influence a person for the rest of their lives.

Lesson Policy:

At Tower Music we have an incredible staff of instructors. To maintain the high level of quality that we have come to expect from our teachers, we adhere to a strict payment policy to ensure our staff is compensated for their time and expertice. Lesson fees are $20 per lesson, and a registration fee of $15.00 is required of all new students. The registration fee is a one time family fee that covers all family members who sign up within the following year. Monthly lesson fees are due and payable at the first lesson of each month. If payment is not received by the 15th of the month, the student account will be assessed a $5.00 late charge. It is your responsibility to remember to pay on time, as statements are sent at the end of each month only to overdue accounts. Failure to make payment by the third scheduled lesson of the month will result in the student being denied a lesson until the account is paid in full. Any student missing two consecutive lessons without contacting Tower Music will be removed from the schedule without further notice. Any check returned unpaid from your bank will result in a $15 charge to your account.

NOTIFYING TOWER MUSIC THAT A STUDENT IS UNABLE TO ATTEND A LESSON IS A COURTESY TO THE TEACHER BUT DOES NOT EXCUSE LESSON PAYMENT

If the student is unable to attend a lesson, individual lesson appointments may not be able to be made up due to our instructors' full schedules. Should the student decide to discontinue lessons, we would appreciate your informing us as soon as possible.

Lessons are held weekly all year with the following exceptions:

1. HOLIDAYS: You will not be charged for the following holidays: Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve & Day, New Year's Eve & Day.

2. INCLEMENT WEATHER: If lessons are cancelled by Tower Music due to inclement weather, you will be called that day and informed. Your account will receive a credit for that lesson. Closings will also be posted on KSDK Channel 5.

3. TEACHER CANCELLATION: If a teacher has a pre-arranged absence before fees are posted on the first day of the month, the student account will not be charged. If a teacher must cancel a lesson after fees have been posted, the student account will receive a credit.
