Connor Coffey

Connor Coffey has been playing violin for over 13 years and guitar for over 5. He attended Webster Community Music School for 4 years, First String Violin Academy for 3 years, and studied violin and music theory at Tower Music under Elizabeth Brandenburg, Monica Holy, and Tim Woestendiek. He also studied guitar and music theory at Tower Music under Mike Tipsword. He is currently pursuing a degree at Meramec with plans to transfer to UMSL.

Conner has been a part of several groups over the years, including 6 years with the St Charles County Youth Symphony, South Side Strings, Miss Jubilee and the Humdingers, and the Salem United Methodist Church Worship Band. Connor was twice rated "Excellent" for All State Solo and Ensemble. He is also featured as a part of the Desmet Jesuit High School Wall of Fame. Connor also plays solo violin for wedding and parties.

Connor has been teaching at Tower Music since 2012. His specialty is applying classical training techniques to improvisational music and modern music. Connor places special emphasis on jazz theory and classical technique while helping his students master their instrument. Connors favorite music styles are jazz, rock, classical, gypsy jazz, and blues.
